First day of a new year. I am not usually good at looking back but I’m finding out it’s hard not to today. A year is a long time. I think I had a lot of goals this year that didn’t come to but it was also filled with the unexpected.
Just announced the 2018 Somethin' About Christmas Tour! I had such a good time last year I couldn't pass up the opportunity to do it again.
Tickets are on sale NOW! Be sure to pick up a pair and help me spread the word! I loved spending the Holidays with everyone last year and can’t wait to do it again.
Sometimes songs are written and sometimes they are received. This was one of those songs.
I was driving in my car in silence (without music blaring or podcast distracting my mind like I usually do). Sitting in a little bit of traffic, I began singing this chorus.
Word for word.
Melody was so clear to me.
I made a voice memo and took it to Gabe Dixon the next day and we finished what has turned out to be maybe my favorite song I've been a part of.
After a monumental return to television in 2018, American Idol announces it's taking the show on the road with the American Idol Live! 2018 tour, spanning three months this summer. Woodard with special guest, Season 8 American Idolwinner, Kris Allen. The 40+ city tour will kick off on Wednesday, July 11 in Redding, CA and wrap on Sunday, September 16 in Washington, DC.
I was recently nominated to be a candidate for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Man & Woman of the Year campaign. My wife Katy and I have several close friends who have been affected by leukemia, so I decided to look into it more and was impressed with everything I discovered about the organization and the work they are doing.
Becoming Man of the Year is all about dollars raised, and I am asking you today to join me in my ambitious campaign.
We've decided to hit the road this winter for a Christmas tour! If we're coming to a city near you, I'd love to see you there. Check out the dates below, be sure to get your tickets and join us!
The Getaway Tour with Parachute is over now. Songs were sung. Friends were made. Buses were set aflame. I'd call it a success.
I can't say enough how much respect and love I have for Parachute and the people they surround themselves with. They were so gracious to Andrew and me and they put on a great show every night.
To the fans of Parachute that offered up your emails, all I have to say to you is that you were incredible to play music for. Thank you for that. Hopefully, we will see you around in your area again!
