Wow, Jive. I can't believe you all are releasing this. Kris sounds great, but what's the point when Pat was given the best part of the song. It wouldn't be so bad, except that Pat doesn't deliver the bridge with the same level of emotion that Kris does. Pat coming in out of thin air just tears the whole song to pieces, since the bridge no longer makes any sense. Besides, this is the wrong time of year to release this song, you all can't really expect this song to go anywhere or for people to buy it. I don't have a clue what you all could be thinking with this move.

No matter how many times I listen to this version, Pat's verse never stops being jarring. On the original, the bridge is the best part of the song, but on this version, it sounds like I'm listening to two different songs, and like Pat's part was just tacked on. It's like listening to a youtube video of a fan who decided to edit himself into a Kris Allen song. This is supposed to be an emotional song, but the jarring nature of Pat's verses just takes all of the emotion away.

I love this song so much, and can't wait to hear it on the radio. I hope Jive supports it, because it is such a great song.
