I'm a fan (and you should be too) because Kris Allen is not only a talented singer and musician, I just love his personality as well. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to meet him at the after-show backstage reception for the concert in Utah, and found him to be just as warmly personable, and so humble about his newfound fame in person as he appears on television. This despite that he was dealing with news of the death of a family member at the time.

We also shared a laugh during that brief conversation. I am also an Adam fan, and for the concert, just for fun, I had put some temporary blue extensions in my hair. Upon greeting him, Kris said' "You remind me of Adam's mother." While I would love to think it was because I might bear a resemblance, since she is very striking, ( I just wish!), and did say thank you, I then said "It's the hair, right?" Ever the gentleman, he said, "Nooooo, I mean it." But his smile and a twinkle in his eye gave it away. And we both shared a giggle, which is when my profile photo was made by my friend who went backstage with me. He may not remember this, but I always will!

I love the mellow mood of his music and I hope he will have a career with a lot of longevity.
