KRIS AT THE MINT - FEBRUARY 9, 2012
I didn't see anyone discussing the show so I thought I'd start.
I thought the show was fabulous. I loved the intimacy of the small venue. Kris, Chris and Cale were right on the money. I loved all the new songs. I might have liked BWY and VOL best, but I have a soft spot for STD.
It was good seeing the folks from 19E in attendance and it was nice of Tim Pagnotta and James Durbin to come to the show too.
I'm looking forward to another tour in the Summer when we finally get this new CD with very radio friendly songs.
Keep on rockin' Kris. You do it so well.

For all of those who have said that he sounds even better live than recorded or what we get on the many youtube videos - I'm sorry I doubted you as over zealous fans. His voice is so rich and full and he goes with ease from lower register to that beautiful falsetto.
Yeah, it's hard to believe that before you've heard him live, but it's so true. There are elements in the tone of his voice that just can't be captured by recordings, no matter how high-quality they may be.
THis was my first time seeing Kris live and it was AMAZING! I almost forgive my life for getting in the way of going to all the other concerts he did here in CA. I feel blessed that he introduced 8 new songs at The Mint. What an experience.
When he started out with 'Monster' I was blown away because that is the one song I was most curious to hear. Loved it! One song after another became my new 'favorite song'. Four days later and I'm still trying to process the experience.

The two old songs he performed, 'Alright With Me' and 'Live Like You're Dying' felt oddly new to me and definitely fun. Who knew?
I'll definitely be trying to get to the next local concert he does here. I hope I can be there for a full band performance.
It's been great hearing from the people who went to the show. Kris just has such a fantastic energy, especially in these intimate club venues.

I was so pleased with the quality of the videos and thankful for those of you who are sharing your experiences. From viewing the videos, I loved how the audience was singing along, even though the songs were brand new. It looked like Kris was so happy about that, and just happy in general. He was so comfortable interacting (and teasing) people in the audience. It looked very relaxed and fun.
BWY and VOL may be my favorites of the night as well.
