Hi Mystique and all - I'm in Burke. So yes, Kris fans do live in NoVa! It's sadly partly because of our horrible local radio stations that the casual music fan like your friends probably doesn't hear Kris anyway. I mostly am on twitter and you are welcome to follow me there!

Hi Mystique! Just for info, I was never on Twitter or FB or anything else until Kris came along, lol. I used to visit the original fansite for him (KrisAllenation that is now KAaddicts.com) for news of Kris after he won. I had no idea that website existed when Kris was on AI. The original website was created by some friends of his that were away for college and who wanted to contribute & support him while he was on American Idol. It just took off like crazy and they had no idea it would still be in such high demand after Kris won. When they couldn't keep it up anymore, another fan created KAaddicts with their same values (No disrespect allowed and they only allow anything on the website that would meet with Kris' approval.) and there are several people who keep it up. Daniel & Robin are also part of our new KA Official Street team, Little Pawns.

So, I created my Twitter account because I heard through the grapevine that Kris might be on there soon, lol. In the meantime I followed Matt Giraud to keep up with Idol news and Kris. I found Twitter to be very simple and easy to use, although the new Twitter is a little harder to figure out. (I may switch to Tweetdeck, which several of my Twitter friends have said is easier to use.) It was party time when Kris started tweeting, lol. I started following my friends I had met on the website and some that I met here at KrisAllenOfficial. Your Twitter experience is going to be based on who you follow, so just follow people you appreciate and follow people that will give you Kris news, as well as anyone else you want to keep up with. I am actually thankful that none of my non-Kris friends are on Twitter because Twitter, for me, is all about Kris and my Kris friends.

You can go to my Twitter and see who I follow to get some ideas. (@BBLamb2000) I have some Twitter friends in the area, as well as my close Kris friends that I get together with in Arkansas and elsewhere for Kris related activities. They have become really special in my life. Some suggestions to follow are @LittlePawns @krinja_signal @krinjalists for current news on Kris. They will retweet any news of Kris from other fans and you can start finding people you want to follow through those retweets.

I signed up for FB too, just for news of Kris, lol. I mainly use it now to follow Music Empowers, who finally did get a Twitter account during the Alright With Music campaign. Their twitters are @MusicEmpowers and @AlrightWMusic

I think you'll really enjoy Twitter and be happy your local friends aren't on there. You can make it all about Kris and stay up on all things Kris.

I have been checking in everyday since I joined to see news and whatnot...but forum is kinda hard to access. And I do not have a twitter. Maybe I should get it.....but I don't know ANYTHING about twitter and none of my friends have it either..... And I am REALLY bad at social networking and neglect even the Facebook that I already have:(

Yeah I have been checking out Kris's videos on Youtube.....and I actually thought some of his live performances are way better than CD! I never go to concert because most of them are expensive(for me I guess) and I am extremely CRITICAL when it comes to live performance. But I really REALLY want to see his live performance. I was so mad when I learned back in November that he was in DC! Ugh! though I would not have been able to go because of classes....And yes I have heard of his new song and I even watched his American Idol stuff although I am not a Idol watcher... well I don't really watch any TV except movies, but Kris is just such a good musician, artist and singer AND a nice almost too-good-to-be-true human being that compels me to want to know more about him. I have never been a fan of any particular individual artist, actor or what-not and have hard time remembering name of celebrity, but Kris.... I don't even know. His songs are great, but his voice....

AND Kris's fan ARE the greatest! I saw birthday videos for his 24th and 25th birthday and what you guys did. I wish I could donate money, but my financial situation isn't exactly good right now. And unlike some very unpleasant, inconsiderate fans of other singers often have, you guys are so polite and.... well uh.... reasonable. so I will try to create twitter account just to meet actually nice genuine people on internet and maybe we can do something with Facebook too because a lot of people including myself find twitter a bit overwhelming though its impact is huge(we discussed twitter in my political science class regarding Iran election-it did make me a bit more intimidated about twitter though) I am looking forward to meet more Kris fans. I am leaving to check out twitter:)
