Appreciating An Awesome Guy
Every second counts on the clock that's ticking and my husband makes the most of each and every one. He has succeeded in having much fun in life. He has played team sports, skied, hiked and zipped around on his motorcycle. He continues to push himself and at the age of 42 he is going for his black belt in Tae Kwon Do. He has been fortunate enough to experience different parts of our great country. Whether in be the hustle and bustle of NYC, the glam and glitz of LA, the pure beauty of the mountains in Colorado, the magic of Disney World or the peace and serenity of Hawaii and Bermuda.
He does not hide behind skin that's too tough but instead welcomes the opportunity to show love and compassion. When Hurricane Katrina hit he jumped at the opportunity to volunteer for a clothing drive to help the victims. A month later he was on a plane headed to New Orleans. He spent a week there cleaning out a house that had been ruined. But it wasn't only physical labor that he was there for. He also leant an ear to those who needed to talk. He realized that listening was the best medicine for these people and he felt so grateful to be able to do that.
He volunteers his time for our children's activities and what gives him the most joy is watching the children have so much fun.
If and when he longs for absolution, he doesn't need to worry about nobody being on the line.
Live Like We're Dying is a song with a great message and it made me realize and appreciate how awesome my husband really is.
