VIDEO: Kris and Allison Cover Coldplay on Oprah

Kris and Allison stopped by Oprah's "No Phone Zone" Rally today to support the cause and play a stunning cover of Coldplay's "The Scientist". Check out the videos below...one is of their backstage performance (check out the bongo solo by Allison!) and one is of their full performance at the rally. Which did you like better?

(actually, Kris dueting with any of his Idol friends would be fun - I know he wanted to do a duet with Matt originally, and it's always lovely when he and Adam can sing together; they obviously had so much fun at the NYC Kradison concert)

Oh my gosh, the harmonies on this song are stunning.... I wish Lizzie would have taped the Christmas duets with Kris and Allison....they sing beautifully together... Truly amazing =)
This was so wonderful! One of those performances that you can watch again and again and still feel floored by. Hope that Kris and Allison can do another duet when they meet up for another concert.
This is a beautiful duet. They sound amazing together. Hopefully they will be able to sing together again at Six Flags. I am looking forward to all of the concert video's this summer!

With Allison, Keith Urban, the trio of Lady A, and even with Danny on AI, Kris is obviously respectful of the other performers. I think he wants it to be good, really good! But he seems rather selfless about it all. As long as the critical melodic points get covered and they do justice to the artist's song/music, he's OK with others getting the glory. That's the thing I find in common about all these appearances. He's so respectful of the other performers and the material. It's all about the music with Kris. And bringing that music to life.
You just gotta' love the guy.
It says a lot about Kris to be able to perform such different duets - one with Keith Urban and now this one with Allison - and they are both awesome!
I think it's so cool that the performance video posted above has almost 12,500 views already on YouTube (and there are other versions circulating too). Heck, the rehearsal footage has over 8,000! Sleepinin and Christianfaith--The elephants are in support of Kris' new single, The Truth. It's the elephant in the room and we don't see it." Many Twitter folks are using elephants as their icon image until the song goes to radio adds on Monday. Even EWSlezak, Jambajim, and Mama Allen got in on the fun yesterday.
This is amazing, and their voices compliment each other so well. I hope there are more collaborations for Kris and Allison in the future. I know there are a lot of people who'd love to see them do more things together.

I'm just blown away! Kris has done this twice to me now. Last year he sang one my favorite songs (Yesterday) better than the Beatles, and now he and Allison cover "The Scientist" better than ColdPlay! Seriously, who sings Coldplay better than Coldplay? These two are magic!

This was such a beautiful performance!! Kris is looking gorgeous with his hair like that, and Allison's hair is amazing as usual! Their voices sound great together! I love Kris singing this song, too, I hope I get to hear him sing it live someday! <3

Kris and Allison sound so good together, I'd really love to hear them sing a song together. I had a dream about them singing Alli's song "Don't Waste The Pretty." It might sound weird, but I think they could pull it off. I wish this duet could have been aired, I think it would have impressed a lot of people.

I think everyone has been waiting for a Krallison duet sent rock week on AI last year! So this was just awesome. I love both the videos! I think Im kinda digging the rehearsal more though. Wow! Now that was gorgeous. I'm glad I was lucky enough to hear it. And I thank you for posting it. Oprah's audience missed out on an incredible performance today.
In answer to your question, the sound mix was really odd during the performance. I actually liked the intimate rehearsal footage better. Their voices and the guitar were exquisite without any amplification. Makes you realize what exceptional singers/performers both Kris and Alli are!

Absolutely beautiful! Alli and Kris both looked great and sounded better today! America's loss that that performance wasn't aired, but the fans were lucky to have dedicated folks to video it for us. My sincerest thanks to those guys! You rock!!
