Every Second Counts Contest

Inspired by the lyrics of “Live Like We’re Dying,” KrisAllenOfficial.com announces the “Every Second Counts” contest! This contest is different. Instead of entering yourself, you nominate a friend or loved one who makes EVERY SECOND COUNT in their life.
The winner receives a trip for four people to NYC during 2009 holiday season (airfare, hotel and ground transportation included). All 4 people will be special guests of Kris Allen at intimate AOL Sessions performance. You’ll also receive one acoustic guitar picked out and signed by Kris!
How To Enter: It’s easy of course! You can enter in a couple of ways. Login or create an account on KrisAllenOfficial.com. Then upload a video to YouTube or write us a story! Or you can tell us by calling Kris’s Mobile Fan Club at (501) 859-0365*

Below is the message that is posted when you click on "enter now" after finding the contest on the second, now third page of the news forum.

When I submitted my story on 11/24, the message that showed after the story was saved was "to check back on Dec 7th for status of the winner". Well, I have been very patient since December 7th, checking this website several times a day and every day since Monday to see if a winner was picked yet or when the winner was going to be announced. If the winner has been picked already, congratulations to them, however, it is not fair or considerate to keep the other 220 contestants wondering. All we needed was someone to tell us the status. Was that asking too much since these fans may have had to arrange with their bosses or their clients for the time off? Also, many fans posted comments on the contest forum, asking the same thing with no reply from the coordinators.
I am assuming that a winner has been picked since it is already Dec 11th and the trip is only 4 days away!!. PLEASE let us know the status.
I sure hope on the next contest that you remember how you kept everybody "hanging" in suspense Please let people know "What's Going On" because "We Needed to Know".

I know they probably already picked a winner, but at least they could tell us that the winner was picked! I am so nervous to see who won!!!!

I'm sure there is a winner by now. The person probably just doesn't come to this site all that often, so they haven't said anything. I don't think the site will post the winner since it has an address that you can write to to find out the winner in January or something.
I wish we could see who the winner was. i entered my mom in this and she has to take off work and needs to let her boss know if she wins! CONGRATULATIONS to whoever won if there is a winner yet! lol I just hope its me and my mom! come on people the dates are coming up someone has to tell us something!

The rules say the submission would be looked at around the 30th. But, when i submitted my video it told me the winner would be contacted around Dec 7th, i think. So mayb some time next week, since the 7th is on monday

And also, does anybody know when the results will be out? I thought I heard it was the 10th but now I've re-read the rules and can't seem to find a day. Although they said they would judge the entries around Nov. 30th.
Oh, and the ad on the side for Kings Of Leon keeps making me think of some kind of cheese/doughnut thing for some reason.

I posted my entry on 11/24 but it doesn't show up on the submitted entries list. Since this is happening to other people, I'm going to just hope for the best and assume it got submitted, haha. (crosses fingers)

Like mickeylin I submitted a story 11/23 and do not see it among the contest entries. I got a message that it was saved - will there be any other acknowledgement? E-mail?
I'd breath a little easier if I knew for sure it was being considered for the contest...
