As you may know, Kris has partnered up with Donorschoose.org to raise support for music education for kids - he even grew a mustache! Now there's more news on Kris's efforts in a recent article on USAToday.com. Read here to learn what Kris has to say about the charity and their latest initiative, "Tool for the Classrooms". Kris Allen was one of the special guest performers at this past weekend's Trevor Live, an event held to benefit The Trevor Project. During the show portion of the event, Kris sang a touching rendition of the John Lennon classic, "Imagine." Check out the video performance and photos from the red carpet below.

Kris fans, are you ready for an opportunity to spend the day with Kris? This one is pretty insane. Here we go.
On Sunday 11/20, Kris will be singing the national anthem at the Packer game in Green Bay, Wisconsin (surprise!) and he wants to give one fan the opportunity to hang out for the day! Here’s the deal so far:
One fan will get to:
-Spend the day with Kris
-Join him at rehearsal
-Hang out on the field with him while he sings the national anthem.
-Watch the game with him in his suite.
-If possible, any photos/video you get from the day will be posted on the site for everyone else to see!
Here’s what you need to do to enter: Just leave a comment below telling us a) why you love Kris and b) why you love the packers (come on football fans! This is your time to shine!). Your responses can be in text, or they can be video or photo-based. For video, you have to host the video yourself and post a link here (youtube is fine). For photos, just upload them to the fan art gallery and post a link to your upload here in the comments. Comments that are JUST photos though will not be considered for entry so make sure to supplement your submission by writing something or recording a video of your answer.
You’ll need to get to Green Bay on your own for this one though. Transportation and lodging will unfortunately not be provided.

To raise awareness for Donorschoose.org and Music Empowers (and for our entertainment) Kris Allen is growing some facial hair for a good cause. Donate today to help keep Kris motivated and support the charity.
Kris Allen and Music Empowers once again are teaming up in support of music education for kids. For their latest effort the duo are partnering to provide a major grant to Donorschoose.org, the national online charity that matches individual donors to project requests fro teachers in public schools. Funds provided by Music Empowers will be used to match contributions made by individual donors to eligible classroom music education projects. “Once individual donations total 50% of a music project’s cost, we will fund the other 50%,” explained Andy Davis, Founder of Music Empowers. Kris and Andy hope that their initiative will help to fund hundreds of projects and benefit over 10,000 kids.
A “Stache” for Kris?
Yep! In order to give his fans an extra incentive to help out, Kris has announced that for the next four weeks he will be growing a mustache. Don’t believe it? Check out Kris’s public service announcement, which is airing on television and check back here for “Stache” updates.
