I took my daughter and her friend to the concert on Sunday night. We almost didn't go as my daughter's friend was sick with a stomach flu, however she braved it because she is such a fan of Kris Allen.
The concert was great. We had third row seats and all seemed well. After the concert, my daughter convinced her friend to go out back to the buses in order to get an autograph. Though sick, her friend agreed hoping for a chance to get her picture signed. Unfortunately Kris decided to NOT greet the fans that voted for him during the show and severely disappointed a little girl.
My thought is that you should not forget where you came from nor should you forget the folks that helped you get to where you are. All of the other Idols came out save for Lil and made a huge impression on the fans. Kris has not lost this fan, however she cried all the way home (long ride back to Massachusetts) and asked if there was anything I could do to help her. This was all I could think of.
Kris, please remember it was the fans that got you voted in as the American Idol. Don't become the type of star that forgets that. Feel free to post your reply here.
