I have admired Kris' artistry and musical talent that he displayed while on American Idol. He was great on AI, but the concert at staples center proved that he could be even greater. I loved Kris' play list expecially the new song added to the show. At first, I was suprised that the song "no boundries" was left out, but turns out to be a good decision to leave out of the set, as it was not a good fit with Kris' other song selections or the rocking atmosphere of the concert. I totally enjoyed the rock music and Kris rocking out on the electric guitar when he sang Matchbox 20 Bright Lights. In my opinion, the only problems with the concert was that Kris was not on long enough. I wanted Kris to sing more songs. A little less time with the first 5 idols may have allowed more time for Kris, but guess I will have to wait until he tours on his own. Adam was good as usual, but Kris more than held his own. I know I am a fan of Kris', but I felt Kris was even better than Adam. Adam did his usual music and was good. Alison and Danny were also very good. But, Kris displayed heartfelt passion and artistry during his set that just draws you into the music which is why I enjoy listening to him. I had the opportunhity to see Kris at the meet and greet before the show. I can only say that I was at the right place at the right time. He came up to sign autographs with Danny and Matt. He seemed so nice and respectful, as I have seen him on various shows I was at the barrier and Kris was in front of me while he was signing autographs for others, but I hesitated to speak and then he turned and left. What a missed opportunity to speak to him as a fan. But, for what it's worth, I'll give my two cents here. I wanted to tell Kris that he should follow his gut instinc when making decisions about his music, as I have always found that your gut is always right. Also, Kris stay true to your wife, as she has been with you from the begining and probably has only your best intrest at heart, and lastly, I totally enjoyed your song "Beautiful Moon" and think it would be great choice for your new album. Love the song as it stands now, but Imagine how you can rework to song to be even better. Overall, I loved the concert, especially with Kris as the new American Idol. I thought this concert was even better overall than the last two American Idol Concerts that I attended in the past. Love Kris, his humble personality, his talent and amazing musical ability. I believe that I will be a fan of his for a very long time.
