I'm a fan (and you should be too) because...
He's amazing, truly amazing. Kris always stayed himself during american idol and never changed who he was as a person and a sInger.. Kris Allen deserved to win and i couldnt think of anyone better to have won. he truly deserves the title of American Idol. not only because of his voice and singing talent, but he's someone that people across the country can look up to and know that you dont have to glitz up or change who you are for people to like you. Kris Allen has taught me one thing. stay true to yourself.... and his looks aren't too bad either!!!!

I remember the first time hearing it on the radio(not the day it premiered), and I was all excited and singing. Hearing it on the radio made me so excited, even now when I hear it. The video is completely awesome, I remember it debuting on Top 20 countdown, and then of course being the #1 video
Also, it's still really popular with people today, you see them quoting it or listening to it all the time. 
My favorite performance was the acoustic version at Philly Sound Studios. Such an awesome song for a first single.
