Arkansas Kris Allen Fans
I've been a fan of Kris Allen since I first saw him on American Idol. Kris and I live in the same state, Arkansas. I am very proud of him and his success. He makes Arkansas proud, too.

Hello, I am looking to hear from anyone who attended any of Kris' Conway watch parties (especially the finale). If you, or someone you know attended, please respond to this. I would like to hear details of what you may, or may NOT have observed at the parties. ( If any of you have heard of the stupid "Second to None" book, you will understand what this is about)
One more thing. We were watching AI 1/12/10. Karie was upset, no Kris Allen but she did she your picture in the background. Then half way thru the show, their you were in your Mustang on a commercial. We both were so excited and she said, 'mom, I told you Kris was going to be on tonight'. What does a mom know!
I couldn't be any prouder of Kris than if he was my own son. Shortly, after he had one the title, my daughter and I were going to this nice, quiet, Italian Restuarant in downtown Conway. As, I was walking up, thru the window, I saw Kim (work with her at BC) her husband Neal and right in the front window was Kris! We walked inside and Kim and I immediately hugged and and I was trying to maintain my composure and not act like one of those crazy fans. The funny thing was, my daughter Karie, who is one of his biggest fans had not noticed that her very own idol was less than 10 feet away. I knelt down and I said, 'Karie I want you to look around and tell me who you see, but whatever you do, do not scream'! Well, she didn't scream but she jumped about 5 feet off the ground when she noticed it was Kris. While we were waiting for our food to go, Karie started to text her 3 older sisters telling them she just met Kris Allen. They didn't believe her. So, I had to go back to their table and eat crow. I apologized for bothering them but would it be possible for Karie to take a picture of Kris with her cell phone to prove to older sisters. He said 'what about if we take one together'. By this time, I was a complete wreck. Once I took the picure, I made a statement that because of the lighting, the picture didn't take very well. Without any hesistation, Kris said 'what can we do to make it better'. I haven't got my heart back since. Karie has special needs and this has been the highlight of her life. Her daddy bought her a puppy and she affectionately named him "Kris Allen" and he is just adorable. Karie finally got her picture with Kris that night only because Kim was nice enough to help me out, I was so excited for her I couldn't even tell you what my name was that night. Let me say one last thing about Kris's mom and dad. Working with Kim over the years, I have always had alot of respect for and since then I have had the pleasure to meet her wonderful husband Neal. With these two as his parents, no wander Kris has turned out to be the man he is today. We love the whole Allen family very much. Remember, when I told Karie no screaming when she saw Kris in the restuarant? Well, once we got in the car, we screamed and we screamed loud!
Keep doing your thing Kris, no one does it better!
I'm a Kiwi (from Aotearoa/New Zealand). I'll be in New York on business at the time this concert is scheduled, so I'd love to have it there

So proud of Kris! We are neighbors as I'm from Russellville, AR...about 25 minutes from Conway. It's so awesome that Kris won AI and I'm so happy for him! I now live in Nashville, TN and am looking forward to seeing Kris play here really soon!

I have been on this site ever since he won...I'm from HOT SPRINGS ARKANSAS! everyone that hasn't go to either www.ryanseacrest.com or www.alice1077.com and demand the free concert for Arkansas. We are behind by 500 votes. kris will cum and perform FOR FREE!!!!! we have to beat new york.... GO VOTE!

There are threads there that will keep you updated on Kris tweets, scheduled performances, and everything else Kris related. There are threads for links to vote for VH1 top 20 videos and the Peoples Choice Award. Please come join the discussion and we'd love for you to help us vote for these two opportunities. You can vote multiple times in both of these contests. For VH1, there is a button at the top that says "rank them again" and for people's choice, just refresh the page. I have never been an American Idol fan, but I have to say that I am very happy that my interest in an Arkansas native on the show got my attention. Kris is a truly talented young man and I am a HUGE fan. He is the total package and I am proud to share my home state, and my love of the HOGS, with such a gifted and genuine artist. I will be following his career and supporting him in all his endeavors...I just voted for him on the PCA website, another first for me! I pray he stays true to himself, his musical style, and his family values. It serves him well....

Even I can see the problem with having the concert in Little Rock. Unfortunately Kris will be the star and Allison and Adam will be opening acts for him. If this concert is held anywhere in Arkansas then it does nothing for the other two. New York is a neutral city where they will all have fans and nonfans that they might win over and convince to buy their music. If you want to treat Kris like the king, then have a solo concert of his in your town. Shower all the love and attention that you want on him, but don't use the other two in order to achieve that
I live in Houston, AR and I used to work at Walmart. I never actually met Kris Allen, but I am sure that I checked him out at Walmart many times. I have also attended New Life Church a couple of times and seen him sing with the music ministry. I was a part of his homecoming, where I waited all day long just to get up front at the stage. I am really proud of Kris and hope that he will come and do a concert for us soon.

Anyone can vote using an Arkansas ZIP CODE in a 50-mile radius. You can use my zip code of 72070. Until today, we were winning over NYC. However, the Adam Lambert fans scattered across the US have come together on Twitter and decided to all vote for NYC so that Adam can have HIS NIGHT. They fear that KRIS fans will overwhelm and take over Little Rock and they don't want Kris to shine.

I've lived in Conway for 10 years now. I don't recall ever running into Kris before his 'Homecoming Parade' during Idol. He does seem to be a genuine guy and we are all proud of him here in Conway and all across Arkansas. I hope he has a long lasting career in music. :-bd

Ive met Kris a few times when he worked with my brother at Hibbets in Conway. He is a genuinely nice guy! He was always very friendly to me when I would come in. He always made sure to say hi. I think America got it right by voting him American Idol, although Adam was amazing (in a different way than Kris) I believe was a better "Idol" for America. I'm so proud to call him a fellow Arkansan!!! WAY TO GO KRIS AND KATY and family(because I know without you he couldn't have done it, you're a great support system for him!)
im from bryant arkansas and i work were kris mom works. believe me kris had all our support. there were signs placed all over the building on tuesdays reminding everyone to vote for kris (i managed to get one of these on finale night lol) and an occasional email or 2 from the company president. i dont know his mom personally-wish i did...sure be asking for an autograph...but obviously kris mom and dad did a wonderful job raising kris. hes a great musician with lots of talent who will go far i believe!

My entire household are HUGE Kris Allen fans! Our entire town supported and back Kris from beginning to end. I posted this somewhere else before...but, we are a football town! The only times that our town "shuts down" is when or high school football team is in the state playoff's! That is until American Idol! EVERY TUESDAY you could not find anyone out and about! We were all glued to the competition and of course voting for Kris for the entire two hours! WE LOVE YOU KRIS! WE ARE SO PROUD TO BE ABLE TO CLAIM YOU AS AN ARKANSAN! You were fantastic and we will continue to support you through out your career! I am certain it will be a very highly successful one!

Kris truly is as genuine as they say. I've been watching him sing as one of our music worship leaders since I joined New Life Church a few years ago. The first time I heard him sing I was blown away.

I'm proud to say I was a KRIS ALLEN fan from the very beginning. I work for Conway radio and we have backed Kris Allen all the way! I want to say a BIG THANKS to all of his Arkansas supporters especially in Conway and Little Rock for the HUGE turnout at his hometown visit. You ROCKED IT OUT! I met Kris when he came home and he is so amazing - he deserved every bit of the fan love that he received.
I can't wait to see hoe the tour matures him as a performer and I'm ready for more original KRIS ALLEN MUSIC!

I'm from Arkansas as well. and my cousin went to school with Kris and talked about how nice of a guy he was and he was right. Kris got 2 hours of voting from me every week! Can't wait for his album!

I'm from Arkansas as well, and the support he has recieved from here has been tremendous. I'm still kicking myself for not seeing him perform when I had the chance back before Idol.
